Hi! I thought I would show you the Valentines my kiddos and I made for their classes this year. We had over 90 Valentines to make and it was a little crazy, but we got them done over a long weekend and they were a hit at school.
This first one my son took to his class and everyone loved the mustache's. We used Glue Dots to adhere them to the sticks so they could walk around with their mustaches on their face. The shapes were cut from our Cricut Cartridges, the main background shape from the AP Cart and the Mustache from the Artiste cartridge. I used an old alphabet (Storybook caps) and the Campaign stamp set from December/January. We also made the homemade chocolates with peppermint in them!
The next two were handed out by my 6th grade and 2nd grade daughters. The fans were for the 6th graders and the candy cane hearts were made and given by my second grader. Because we had so many to make, I used an old paper pack I bought a few years ago from Michaels.
The fans were pretty easy, although they don't look like it. We cut 3" strips of paper and scored them at 1/2" intervals. We used 2 for each fan. Some we used edge punches for, others we left plain. Then we adhered 2 crafts sticks to the ends. We used a 6"x1/2" strip to go up and around and down adhering with glue dots again. Then we simply tied on the messages which were cut with the AP Cartridge and stamped with last years SOTM for December( 2011). I printed the messages and cut them with a circle punch for the center.
The peppermint hearts tags were with the AP and Artiste Cartridges with the sentiment typed and punched again.
On a sad note, a friend had to put her dog down so I made her a card. The paper is from a very old CTMH paper pack and uses our new slate gray card stock. The hearts were cut with the Artiste Cartridge and I used a stamp from Papertrey ink.
I hope you enjoyed our valentines! Thanks for checking in!
Lori
